The Wanner C Series valves are designed to prevent excess system pressure in the discharge line. If the discharge line is closed by a valve, closed spray gun or blockage then the valve will bypass the total flow to prevent damage to the pump. Hydra-Cell valves also balance system pressure. These valves can be used with any positive displacement pump.

The valve design is simple: a tapered plunger with a valve seat. When excess pressure overcomes the adjustable spring pressure on the plunger, the plunger lifts off the seat allowing fluid to bypass and reduce system pressure. The unique flow-through design reduces wear on internal parts.
